cummins 8.3
1/10and 1/11/12 Assembled pistons to connecting rods.first we arranged all of the parts to be installed
we put the snap ring in one side of piston and aline connecting rods with piston. we then lubricated the piston pin with 15/40 oil and connected the piston and connecting rod together. we then put piston rings on pistons be sure to be careful when installing them for they are very brittle . we made sure that the opening of the rings are 120 degrees out from one another. lubricate the piston and piston sleeve with 15/40. use a ring compressor and slowly tap piston into piston sleeve.i spent a total of 16 hours on this and research.
